Bush to have Colonscopy

President Bush will have a routine colonoscopy Saturday and temporarily hand presidential powers to Vice President Dick Cheney, the White House said.

During Saturday's transfer of power, the vice president will be at his home on the Chesapeake Bay in St. Michaels, Md., about 30 miles east of Washington, Snow said.

The 2002 transfer was only the second time that the Constitution's presidential disability clause was invoked. President Reagan was the first to invoke the Constitution's 25th Amendment since its adoption in 1967 as a means of dealing with presidential disability and succession.

Let's just hope nothing crazy happens or any radical bills get signed while he takes over. A lot can happen in two hours.

1. Every democrat sent to Guantanamo Bay for interrogation
2. Presidential pardon for every staff member on his team that committed crimes
3. Declare marshal law
4. Sign the Patriot Act v3
5. Declare democracy a thing of the past

Gasp, the end is near for SUV's

The more we learn of our desperate environmental straits, the more we learn of dwindling oil reserves and the more we learn that our shiny happy United States might not be the responsible, beneficent global superpower we once dreamed it was, the more we say "screw it" and grab onto the last gasp of pleasurable excess and vice no matter the future repercussions, telling ourselves we might as well enjoy that stupid, chromed-out three-ton GMC Yukon Denali before the oil runs out and the terrorists eat my babies and the damn liberals change the laws and make us all drive Smart cars to the Tofu Hut in order to turn us all gay. Sound familiar?

Memorial Day

It was a day of recognition for all the armed personnel serving around the world on behalf of the United States and its citizens. It is also a day of remembrance of the countless men and women who gave their lives for the ultimate sacrifice in defending our country and democratic ways.

Thanks to them, we live in a country where people strive for excellence and freedom abroad. I often feel thankful that we have the power and freedom to do whatever we want but it comes at a cost. We need to know how to appreciate what we have and stop complaining about futile things and causing more pain and suffering. Betterment of our lives in our community and character is not the highest priorities in our country and it should be.

It has been 1,720 16 hours since September 11, 2001… that long…

May Day: May 1st, Immigration

1M protest in the "Great American Boycott of 2006"

What did you do today?

As for me, I went out and purchased a few things to really get the US economy going, here is my list:

Costco Gas: $64.06
Lowes: $32.54
Paid a US citizen for services rendered: $200
Express Men: $74.35
Total Spent: $370.95

How much did you contribute? I loved how there was no traffic in downtown Fontana where I was at for most of the time today. Iit was fairly pleasant to actually wait for only 1 light to change instead of 2 or 3 because of the constant gridlock this part of town experiences.
