2007 Toyota Tundra

The new Toyota Tundra comes with a 5.7L engine with an estimated horsepower of 365 with a towing capacity of over 10,000 lbs. I can't wait until I can test drive this thing to see how well it performs against the Nissan Titan 5.6L Endurance.

Its obvious that this truck will take over the domestic landscape of the full size market. With its dominance over sedans and hybrid sectors in the US market, I can't see why Toyota can't win in this market with their well planned research and delivery of this nice truck.

FIFA Soccer

France and Korea went at it today in the FIFA world cup and they tied 1v1 in a dramatic game that consisted of poor defense and strong offense from the France team. Sadly, France lost out on a win that was supposed to be called on when a ball was kicked into the goal but was blocked back out. Other than that, it was a good match and Korea wins in their division.

Escrow Closes!

This has probably been the most stressful thing anybody has to go through and I went through every imaginable delay known to exist in the home industry. I found this home in Riverside for me to live in for UCR and its a great house that sports 5 bedrooms and 3 baths so I took it upon myself to pitch in some deposit money and split the costs with the parents for them to hold onto under my name so we can build that perfect credit. After putting in the offer for the house, we got accepted for the deal after looking around for homes. Soon after, we went into escrow and it was a 30 day escrow started in April 20th and ending in May 20th.

During this time, we're supposed to gather additional funding and find lendors to give me a loan. This was probably the most difficult part of this process since my lack of financial history had problems in drawing the loan. After considerable phone calls and deals, we find countrywide and get our process rolling through their retail channel of processing. RIght then and there was my first mistake. Not only was countrywide a mega national corporation which had such a large bureaucracy that it takes forever just to get a response or situation resolved. Any mistake would delay it one whole day since most of the people in the retail loan side did so many loans they didn't really care about speed. If we went through my uncle and spent the extra money on him, we could've sped up this process about 20 days faster than usual since he is a loan officer. The longest delay in this process was what was known as approval and checks. This is when the morgage company would randomly select people within their own loan process to do a CRYSTAL CLEAR job in everything from your background to where you ate and slept for the night. It seriously felt like a background check and FBI looking through your financial records for ENRON like dealings. After that process and we cleared all the conditions of the loan, we were approved after 2 weeks the house was supposed to be ours. The previous homeowners were pretty chill about the whole event since it wasn't our fault except choosing countrywide. After the loan docs were approved, we waited for the docs to be sent to escrow but WAIT ONE SECOND, its memorial day weekend! That's right, they decided to screw me on two business days and take a break on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Not working during these days were understandable but FRIDAY? come on... They only work M-F 9-3pm everday, wow such hard work... After memorial day weekend ended, we came on a 4 day week which required everyone to work catchup and delay every loan doc and processing place on earth. They were supposed to send it through email or by ground delivery but whatever they used (smoke signals or pony express) they didn't send it fast enough and the 4 day week went and past. The following week they decided to sell countrywide or do some administrative counseling which meant everyone on the higher up of the ladder was being reassigned or fired for management reasons. That delayed the docs another week and I was stuck with friends sad and wanting to move in and party.

So it brings us to this day, June 2, 2006. Escrow is about 2 (BUSINESS) days away and I can't wait until we move in and I leave this place called home for 19 years. I'm so happy, i'll bomb their place if this gets delayed one more time...
